Remarks:
|
This song was written in a back
office at Toronto Sound Studios in the spring of 1975. A demo recording
of the song was made in June of that year and much of the musical
arrangement appearing on the demo was replicated on the 1977 master
recording. One notable difference between the two versions is that the
master recording changes key going into the final verse, whereas the
demo does not.
The basic rhythm section for this track consisted of drums (Penti
"Whitey" Glan) and an electric piano (John). The original drum tracks
were later augmented with additional drum overdubs performed by Terry
Draper.
The electric piano featured on this track was a "Hohner Pianet". The
bass guitar was a Rickenbacker (model 4001).
